       The plant is situated in the center of the city
of Nikolaev, on the main highway (Lenin pr.) and covers
the area of more than 7 hectares.

The main production buildings of the plant are:        Besides manufacturing departments, production buildings include the following service shops: tool room, machine-repair shop, shipping department and woodshop.
       Overall there are 46 buildings and 35 different constructions on the plant’s territory. These include trestle, ground storage, service railroad, trackless roads, car parks, asphalt pavers testing ground.

Steel foundry
Steel foundry        Steel foundry produces castings weighting up to 140 kg of brands 25L and 35GL in sandy-earthen moulds. The foundry includes a steel-smelting section where electric furnaces DSP-1,5 are installed. The other sections are equipped with SMC-101a, a filter purification system. They include mould-filling section with a floor conveyor, bar section, earth preparation section, chipping section, castings thermal treatment section and pattern section.
       Workshop capacity at three-shift work schedule is 4800 tons of castings a year.

Press shop
       Press shop includes a blank production shop equipped with guillotine-shears (cut leaf thickness of up to 25 mm), KRISTAL air-plasma cutting machines, SGU 160 gas-cutting machine, combined shearing press and trueing-up machine.
       Press-bending section is equipped with power presses (effort 40-315 tons), and plate-bending press (up to 250 tons). Press-forging section is equipped with pneumatic hammers (falling parts weighting 160 and 400 kg), and also with air-and-steam hammer (weighting 1000 kg). Besides that, there are vapour stamping hammers (falling parts weighting 1000 kg) and a stamping press (effort 630 tons).
       Blanks heating is executed in chamber gas furnaces. Hardening section is equipped with chamber and electric pit-type heating furnaces including cementing.
       Heating furnaces fume extraction is carried out through breechings into chimney-stalks.

Machine shop
       The machine shop includes the following sections: blanks, arbors, gear and sprockects, basic parts, small parts and hydraulics cutting sections, load-bearing units (transmission, fluid flywheels, planetary reduction units) assembling section. The machine shop equipment includes screw-cutting lathes, boring mills, merry-go-round, boring-facing, milling , gear treating, spline-milling, and grinding machines.
       Most of the machines are multi-purpose. Many of these are NC units.

Assembly shop
Assembly shop        The assembly shop includes: metalware assemblage and welding section, driven elements assembling section, asphalt pavers assembling section, plating section, hydraulics section, MRA section, section of electrical equipment for manufactured articles, and colouration section. 98% of metalware welding is performed in carbonic acid gas medium under a flux layer.
       The following kinds of work are executed in the plating section: chromium coating, nickelizing, galvanizing, oxidation, as well as pipelines ultrasonic cleaning.

The main plant laboratory
       The plant has the main plant laboratory fully staffed with professionals with necessary qualifications and appropriate equipment. This equipment allows to perform the following tasks:
       - metal chemical analysis
       - metal mechanical data check
       - weld crack testing

Technical control
       Technical control department has a complete staff of qualified personnel providing responsible production acceptance at the stages of important manufacturing operations and testing.

Manufacturing flow chart
Stocks        DORMASHINA plant is an engineering plant with almost closed manufacturing cycle. The plant performs the following functions:
       Steel-casting, blanking, press-forging, machine, welding, thermal, plating, assembling, colouration, tool, repair, woodworking, transport-storehouse.
       Elements made of flat products, profiled iron, rounds, and core-mold casting are manufactured according to a flow chart developed by the main technology department.
       Foundry goods, large punchings (gear blanks, etc.), engines, electric equipment, hydraulic gears (pumps, engines, switchgear), hardware production are all purchased articles.
Manufacturing flow chart        Blanks used by the plant are placed in containers and go through warehouses of the manufacturing-control department. Large plate stocks that are made of profiled iron are sent directly to the workshop. There are no buffer stores of articles in the assembly shop. Details (units) are stored directly in the sections. Purchased articles are the only exception.
       Finished product testing and checkout are performed before colouration in the special grounds. Final machine colouration is performed with finished product.
